Numeracy & Mathematics equips us with the skills we need to interpret and analyse information, simplify and solve problems, assess risk and make informed decisions.
Children are taught within the guidelines comprising:-

- NUMBER, MONEY and MEASURE
- SHAPE POSITION and MOVEMENT
- INFORMATION HANDLING
The maths programme usually begins with 15 – 20 minutes oral/mental maths. Children work in groups at a level and pace appropriate to their abilities, and when they have completed concepts receive regular summative and formative assessment.
Where possible pupils practice their skills in real life contexts.
