We have numerous staff members who have been trained in the Theory and Practice of  Nurture.

All our staff engage with the nurturing principles:

1.  Children and young people’s learning is understood developmentally.

2.  The classroom offers a safe base

3.  The importance of nurture for the development of self esteem.

4.  Language is a vital means of communication.

5.  All behaviour is communication.

6. The importance of transition in young people’s lives.

These principles develop the understanding and commitment of all staff and their ability to work together to support children and young people.

Nurture is part of the development of our approaches to ‘Getting it Right for Every Child’.
